  3.     This  archive  is  a difference update ONLY of the original AmiNet
  4. distribution  of  version  1.55.  The contents of this archive REPLACE
  5. the same files in the original distribution.

  8.                              DISTRIBUTION
  9.                       THIS IS A BETA TEST VERSION
  10.  
  11.     It  should  not be treated as a release version.  It may take just
  12. up  disk  space or cause more Lemmings to die, your hard disks to stop
  13. spinning,  and  un-expected visits from old enemies.  It is definitely
  14. not   guaranteed   to   work,   and   does  not  come  with  completed
  15. documentation.

  17.     You  are  also  asked  NOT  to  re-distribute  this  file as newer
  18. versions are always available here.
  19.  
  20.   If  any of the above bothers you, just delete this version from your
  21. system, and forget that it exists.

  25.     Versions  of wpl.library other than nn.nn.01 make use of 'KPrintF'
  26. debug  statements.  If one is using the internal port (serial.device),
  27. they  *MUST* run SUSHI which re-directs this output to the appropriate
  28. location.   Failure  to  do  so will cause network session failures to
  29. occur!
  30.     The  WB  2.1  Version will NOT give you the full version number of
  31. the library, use instead:  "SEARCH LIBS:wpl.library $VER:"
  32.  
  33.     Operation  of  this  product with versions of libraries other than
  34. those  included  (either  older  OR  newer)  may produce unpredictable
  35. results.
  36.  
  37.     This   product   is   in  constant  development  and  is  archived
  38. automatically  EVERY morning.  In the normal course of development, it
  39. is  possible  that  as  new  features  are added, bugs are introduced.
  40. While  I  strive  to  remove these as quickly as possible, this is not
  41. always  the  case.   In most cases, it will be fixed in the next day's
  42. archive  or  in  the  unarchived  version  of a module.  All .rexx and
  43. .wplrx modules are freqable under the filename and are always current.

  45.     Please   READ   the   History.Shelter  file  to  note  changes  in
  46. configuration,  operation  or  documentation.   If the History.Shelter
  47. file  is not included in this particular archive, you may FREQ it from
  48. fiodnet#1:167/104.0.

  50.     The ROOF System serves as my development testbed for new features.
  51. The  ROOF  mailer is also generated by GenMailer.  When I am satisfied
  52. with  the  operation  of these features under ROOF, I then add them to
  53. the  freely  available  Shelter  Mailers.   I  do not always test them
  54. though,  that  is  YOUR  job  as a BETA Tester.  Please note that I am
  55. famous for 'unmatched quote' errors :)

  57.     Bug  reports  not  submitted  and  received  on  the  same  day as
  58. generation  of  the  archive, may quite possibly be too late.  This is
  59. especially  true  if  the  bug  occurs  on  startup  or  during normal
  60. sessions.   However, I do not always test the resultof turning options
  61. off,  your  bug  reports will be valueble in this case, as it is not a
  62. configuration I normally use.

  64.     Bug  Fixes,  enhancements and announcements for all Roof, Shelter,
  65. and   Xpack   products   are   automatically  posted  nightly  in  the
  66. ROOF_PROJECT  and  FALCON_CBCS echos.  These are also prepended to the
  67. History  file in each archive.  It is highly recommended that all beta
  68. testers receive this echo and read the history file.

  70.     Major  announcements  are  posted in the FIDONET echos:
  71.         FALCON_CBCS,  AMY_POINT,  AMIGA_SYSOP,  WELMAT 
  72.     and the AmigaNet echos:
  73.         COMMS_AMY,  NETDEV_AMY,  SYSOP_AMY
  74.     as well as in the usenet newsgroup:
  75.         comp.sys.amiga.datacomm.

  77.     I  find  it  strange  that  I have to add this, I had thought this
  78. would be obvious:
  79.         BETA TESTERS SHOULD NOT POST BUG REPORTS IN THESE ECHOS.

  86.                            DISTRIBUTION

  88.     The compiler of the CAM disks refused to even consider this freely
  89. available archive, nor even take a test drive of any of the many local
  90. systems using one of the versions.
  91.     Therefor,  inclusion of any part of this archive on a CAM DISK, or
  92. on the CAM/RCS BBS is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN.
  93.     If you have obtained this archive from one of these sources, there
  94. will be NO support.
